While I've always had an inclination to draw and create, I would only consider myself an artist for maybe a year or so. It was only during this time that I began to study and practice drawing on a daily basis.
Everyday life itself is a major influence for me. I like to draw as much from the people I meet and the places I see and include that in my own work. Music is also a great inspiration and really helps me get in the right mind set to draw.

What are some of your major genre influences?
I grew up collecting Marvel comics and cards, staring at the art, wishing I was Iron Man. But over the years, my love of superheroes has faded and now I rely more on my own imagination and experiences to create art. There are elements of Sci-Fi and Fantasy that I enjoy, but I try and create something original every time I sit down to draw.
What sort of training/schooling/experience do you have with art?
I learned a lot about Photoshop from several graphic design and digital imaging classes I took at a previous university, but most of the skills I use in my illustrations are pretty much self taught. The greatest contributor to my training hands down has to be the many art forums and communities on the internet, without which I would be lost.
How did you become involved in Empty Room Studios?
One day I came across a blog Rick had posted on his conceptart.org profile in which he stated he was searching for an assistant. I quickly applied and luckily was allowed to help out around the forum. Several small jobs and a few freelance assignments later, I was invited to join the incredible talent here to contribute as an artist.
